FAQs

Do you draw your own designs?

1

Yes, all by me with my little hands. No AI or copying. All my tattoos are one of a kind, and I do not repeat a same design. If you liked one of my work enough to want something similar, I can make a “sister tattoo” that shares theme and composition. In same vein, I do not tattoo other people’s designs, but I can put my own spin on it if you’d allow me.

My current hourly rate is 210 CAD. My minimum is 420 CAD(except touch ups).

I round down the tens for appointments longer than 4 hours. I accept cash and paypal but e-transfer is the most preferred method of payment.

I do not charge separate design fees for custom projects. I start drafting the design AFTER I get the deposit.

100 CAD deposit will secure your booking, paid through PayPal or e-transfer. This is non-refundable and deducted from your final cost. You can reschedule until 4 days(96 hours) ahead of your appointment but after that you will lose your deposit and have to pay another deposit to reschedule.

I have a rolling deposit system for multi-session tattoos. Your deposit will be deducted from the last session, in turn you won’t have to put in a deposit to schedule your next session every time.

Tipping is not required, if you think I truly went above and beyond for your tattoo then feel free to tip me. :-)

I am currently tattooing at La Maison Tattoo Studio. Details for access will be sent to you few days before the appointment with further information.

There are metered street parking or underground parking spaces available nearby.

If you have been tattooed before, whatever that has been working for you would be the best. If this is your first tattoo, here is my version of aftercare instructions:

Leave the second skin on as long as you can, ideally for 3-4 days or longer. If the second skin film is remaining airtight and not peeling off, you can leave it on for a week. You can shower with the second skin on, it’s waterproof. If it peels off earlier than 3 days, that is perfectly fine. Just follow the instruction below.

It’s slightly easier to take your second skin off during a shower after you run warm water over it for a few minutes.

After you take the second skin off, keep your new tattoo clean by washing it with lukewarm running water or unscented baby wipes. Don’t use soap yet, even unscented ones! You can use soap to clean it after 3-4 days, when the redness is completely away.

For moisturizing, Apply tattoo balms or readily available products like Aquaphor on your tattoo. Please do not over moisturize it! A very thin layer of any ointment that will keep your new tattoo supple and slightly damp is enough. For this purpose I recommend Palmer’s cocoa butter formula in a jar, I use this personally for my tattoos when I get them. It’s very cost effective compared to tattoo balms.

As your new tattoo flakes off and settles, it will get really itchy- don’t scratch it! When it gets really unbearable, slap the area around it.

Even after your tattoo finishes peeling and feels settled, keep moisturizing it up for a month. Wear sunscreen for longevity of course!
