Heya! A long overdue introduction about myself.

I’m Miura! Nice to meet ya. You can also call me Miu, but Jay is reserved for my friends and most special clients :-)

Born and raised in Korea, drawing since 2006 and tattooing since 2022. I have been travelling around the world for tattooing but I am currently based in Vancouver, BC.

I love mythology, legends, and nature. Transformation, liminality, duality and asymmetrical balance are themes that intrigue me- my inspirations are largely drawn from those.
I believe in the resilience of the human soul and the tenderness it is capable of.

When I’m not tattooing or making art I’m usually at the gym working out or reading manga.

A small bit of trivia if you’re curious:

My tattooing handle comes from Lamborghini Miura, which in turn borrowed its name from La Ganadería Miura, a legendary spanish ranch known for producing finest fighting bulls. (I do not condone animal cruelty- It’s just the kid in me getting fascinated at strong, ferocious animals.) I love bovine creatures, and as an Aquarius sun and Taurus moon this came as a natural choice for my handle. People often ask me if it’s related to Kentaro Miura of Berserk fame, a coincidence I would gladly accept :-)
